What is a Graduation Plan and how can I assign graduation plans for my students?

Graduation plans consist of an aspirational, chosen diploma type and graduation date. Graduation plans support the Portal in highlighting needed courses and Regents based on the identified diploma type. They can be assigned in multiple ways:

From the Graduation side navigation for multiple students

  • Use the Setup page to assign graduation metrics for credits and exams

  • Utilize the groupings from the Respond page to assign graduation plans according to school based metrics

From a Student Profile

  • Select a student’s name and expand the Graduation panel

  • The dropdown next to Planned diploma type will update the type of diploma the student will be working towards

  • The dropdown next to Planned grad date will set the expected date of graduation

Additional options within the Graduation panel

  • Students who have been negatively discharged should be given a graduation plan of Non-Graduate without a date

  • Safety net eligibility, endorsements, and credentials can be applied for grouping and tracking purposes
