How can I identify which of my students are chronically absent?

Attendance in the Portal is updated daily from the district student information system and reflects data as of the previous day. There are multiple ways to view student attendance by risk group:

From the Dashboard

  • The attendance tile displays chronic absenteeism for the entire school

  • Once this tile is selected, filters can be applied above the graph to focus on subgroups within the school

  • Select a group from the table below the graph to get a list of corresponding students

From the Attendance left side navigation

  • Selecting Attendance from the left side navigation allows you to adjust the drop downs to hone in on a specific student group to view chronic absenteeism

  • These customized lists can be exported to an excel file by using the export to CSV feature

  • A summary table is present along the right side of the window to provide an easy count of students falling into each bucket

From the Data Grid

  • Select Data Grid from the Left-side Navigation

  • Select the attendance template view to focus the data on key attendance data points, this view can be exported to an excel file by using the export to CSV feature

  • Filters can be applied within the Data Grid to focus on subgroups within the school
