What is a Support and how do I create them?

Portal Supports are regular activities that occur during or outside of the school day and are aimed at improving student outcomes. Portal Supports can be differentiated for a subset of students by the school or an external partner. Portal users can create support groups based on the specific needs of a student. Supports can be created and students assigned to them in multiple ways:

From a Student Profile

  • Open the Supports drop down panel on a student’s profile

  • Select Assign Portal Support to create a new Support or assign the student to a previously created Support

From a List View

  • Click the batch actions button on the Right-side Toolbar

  • Select students to assign to a Support

  • Click Supports and create a new Support or assign students to a previously created Support

From the Data Grid

  • Click the Batch actions at the top right Select students to assign to a Support

  • Click edit at the top right and select Supports > Assign Support to create or assign a Support

From the Left Side Navigation

  • Click Settings along the left side

  • Select Create New Support in the top right corner and follow the prompts to create a new support
