This article will explain how to assign Regents plans to address Regents gaps using the Portal. Let's get started!


Overview


How to add Regents for the current terms

Follow these steps to add Regents for the current term:

  1. Click on Attendance on the left side navigation panel

  2. When the Attendance page loads, ensure that the second filter bucket is displaying all students

  3. Click on the name of the student whose Regents gaps you would like to view

  4. Once in the Student Profile click on the Regents panel to expand it

  5. Once the Regents panel is expanded, find the Regents Plans table, and locate the Regent(s) that you would like to schedule for the student

  6. In the Next Admin Plan column, click on the arrow that's associated with the subject you would like to schedule for

  7. A list of future exam administrations will be shown. Choose the Regents exam respective to your current term, and a plan for the student will be created

How to drop Regents for the current terms

Follow these steps to drop Regents for the current term:

  1. Click on Attendance on the left side navigation panel

  2. When the Attendance page loads, ensure that the second filter bucket is displaying All Students *Depending on what level school that is being viewed, it will specify if it's a High School, Middle School or Elementary School*

  3. Click on the name of the student whose Regents plan you would like to view

  4. Once in the Student Profile click on the Regents panel to expand it

  5. Once the Regents panel is expanded, find the Regents Plans table, and locate the Regent(s) that you would like to drop for the student

  6. In the Next Admin Plan column, click on the arrow that's associated with the Regents exam that you would like to drop

  7. A list of future exam administrations will be shown, as well as the option to DROP an exam that's already been scheduled.

  8. Click DROP and the exam chosen, will be dropped

How to set plans for future terms

Follow these steps to set plans for future terms:

  1. Click on Attendance on the left side navigation panel

  2. When the Attendance page loads, ensure that the second filter bucket is displaying all students

  3. Click on the name of the student whose Regents gaps you would like to view

  4. Once in the Student Profile click on the Regents panel to expand it

  5. Once the Regents panel is expanded, find the Regents Plans table, and locate the Regent(s) that you would like to schedule for the student

  6. In the Next Admin Plan column, click on the arrow that's associated with the subject you would like to schedule for

  7. A list of future exam administrations will be shown. Choose the Regents exam respective to the term you would like to schedule, and a plan for the student will be created

  8. *Users will be able to view which exams a student should plan for by viewed the color coded table at the top of the Regents panel*

How does this effect a student's Regents gaps?

Once this planning is completed, it will be reflected in the Regents panel color coded table, and users will be able to monitor and plan for their students.
